Equipped with decades of experience working on projects across the industrial, commercial and institutional sectors, GIP’s Demolition Division tackles unique demolition and hazardous material abatement challenges.

We create site-specific plans for our customers by selecting the most appropriate demolition methods—including large custom-built machines, smaller robotic equipment for confined spaces, implosion, or other techniques.

Investment Recovery

To ensure value and environmental responsibility, GIP’s experienced personnel coordinate extracting all recoverable materials from a project site before demolition services.

Known as Investment Recovery, this critical process can offset customer project costs and reduce the environmental impact of demolition through the sale of recovered materials such as metals, equipment, tanks, and other items.

Hazardous Materials Abatement

Many facilities also need environmental abatement prior to demolition, which can include the removal of asbestos, vermiculite, PCBs, mould or various other contaminated materials.

Highly experienced in the abatement process, GIP’s services include the safe removal and disposal of toxic materials. Our abatement team has safely completed hundreds of projects in both vacant and occupied residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.

Equipment

GIP’s extensive company-owned fleet of trucks, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and dump trucks are clean, safe, professionally maintained, and available round-the-clock for a full range of on-site customer projects.

Our equipment includes:

  • 167-foot high-reach excavator, able to safely reach extremely high and awkward areas
  • Smaller fleet units, able to safely enter areas with restricted access
  • Specially customized equipment for specific challenges

Robotics

At GIP, we proudly use the most advanced technology available to the demolition industry — robotics.

During complex demolition projects, GIP’s robotic demolition units are often safer and more economical alternatives to larger equipment or hand demolition. Compact in size and operated by remote control, these units can reach areas within a facility that are not accessible to larger equipment. They can also access environmentally hazardous spaces or locations where conventional demolition methods are impractical.

Robotic equipment can enhance project safety and reduce the time required to complete complex work.

No matter your project size, GIP’s demolition professionals and a broad range of specialized equipment can help safely complete your site-specific requirements.

Demolition and LEED

Many developers design projects to obtain LEED Certification upon completion. Although most LEED points are related to the design and construction of a facility, GIP’s Demolition Division can help customers to capitalize on available points in key areas such as waste management and disposal, and erosion and sedimentation control. We’ll work with you to implement methods that maximize your project’s LEED points, and promote a sustainable future for your facility.
