Community Involvement In Calgary, AB

Our Calgary, AB team is proud to give back in volunteer hours and local donations to charities that shape the Calgary area and make a difference to our local community. Through the Full Circle Project (FCP), our local team contributes to organizations that better serve where we live and work.

Lethbridge Human Society

The Lethbridge & District Humane Society’s main goal is to find the best possible homes for abandoned, stray and previously owned animals from Lethbridge and surrounding area. The Society has been a no-kill haven since its inception in early 1970. GFL was happy to donate $5,000 towards a new washer and dryer for the humane society, as well as replacing and repairing two old sheds. Our local volunteers also give their time to walk dogs.

Halo Air Ambulance

HALO is the only dedicated medevac helicopter for southern Alberta with the capability of serving southwest Saskatchewan. The availability of the helicopter improves response time to critically ill or injured victims in remote or inaccessible areas and increases the coverage area for delivering qualitative medical care. GFL was proud to donate $5,000 to support the Grant Fletcher HALO in the Hangar annual open house, with volunteers from our team helping out with the pancake breakfast.

Variety – The Children’s Charity of Alberta

Variety – the Children’s Charity of Alberta supports children who are living with disabilities and specialized needs in our communities. They supply and build inclusive playgrounds for children within Calgary and surrounding areas.
GFL was proud to donate $5,000 to the organization, which went towards supporting the building of a new playground by Ledcor. Members of Team Green also volunteered their time at a Golf Tournament organized by Variety and also helped build the playground.
