GFL proudly provides quality, local service to communities across North America. It’s always been a vital part of our mission to take care of the communities we serve, and give back to them in any way that we can.

That’s why we launched the Full Circle Project (FCP) —an exciting community-driven charitable giving program that lets you, our customers, decide how a portion of our donations are directed.

By putting you in control, FCP is a truly unique way to ensure our charitable giving positively impacts our shared local communities, and that we support the causes that matter most to you.

Our charities are divided into seven classes, so you can pick the one you feel best represents where you’d like our funds to be spent. They are:

  • Animal Welfare
  • Cancer and Medical Wellness
  • Nature Conservation
  • Poverty Reduction
  • First Responders and Veterans
  • Family Wellness
  • Arts, Culture and Education

Our goal is to support local, high-impact charities that make a difference within our communities. We don’t simply give donations – we focus on building relationships with the organizations that shape where we live and work. These charities become our partners, and GFL employees proudly volunteer their time regularly to extend our support beyond a monetary donation.

All you have to do is tell us what matters most to you!

Our Part

GFL allocates donations to charities within the seven classes based on the total percentage of customer votes received for each one. GFL selects high-impact, registered local charities to receive donations, where at least 80 percent of the funds received go towards programming. Volunteering is a key part of FCP, so GFL will facilitate opportunities for employees to give their time to charities and extend our support beyond monetary donations.

When all funds have been allocated, GFL will report back to customers on where and how donations were made, including which charities received them — so you can see how your input is actively making a difference in your local community!
