Cruising for Kids is a dedicated initiative that funds week-long summer camp experiences for the children of fallen or catastrophically injured military service members. Given the large number of veterans supported by our facility, GFL was pleased to donate $7,500 that went directly towards tuition and travel costs required to send children to camp. Four volunteers also helped raise awareness at the Let Freedom Camp event, while also helping deliver four trash cans to support the event.
GFL was proud to donate $15,000 to Victory Junction, Greensboro, North Carolina. Victory Junction provides a safe, medically supervised environment where children can experience the life-changing joy of camp at no cost to their families. With a cause that resonates deeply with our local team, 12 GFL employees volunteered to help set up and assist with the 5K run to help raise funds for the charity.
Project Healing Waters is a dedicated non-profit organization that utilizes the therapeutic benefits of fly fishing and outdoor recreation to support veterans in their recovery from both visible and invisible injuries, fostering a sense of community and peace. GFL was pleased to donate $4,000 to fund an all-expenses-paid guided fishing weekend for 12 local veterans.
