High-volume commercial centers, processing facilities, and industrial operations in Eastern Columbus County rely on GFL’s advanced waste compaction systems. We deliver robust self-contained compactors designed to reduce waste volume, eliminate leakage, and completely control odors. Our industrial routes service commercial hubs in Bolton, Delco, and Riegelwood, as well as lakeside zones surrounding Duchess Forrest, Sutton Place, and The Bluffs. If your processing facility is located near the ecologically sensitive Green Swamp Preserve or coordinates logistics close to Lake Waccamaw State Park and the Waccamaw Dam Pedestrian Bridge, our leak-proof compactors offer superior environmental containment. Transitioning to an industrial compactor streamlines waste logistics, minimizes your site’s physical refuse footprint, and lowers hauling frequency. Partner with GFL to design a compaction setup that supports a highly efficient, clean, and green Columbus County.
Self-Contained Compactor

GFL Environmental is proud to partner with local non-profit groups that foster safety, healing, and cultural growth throughout Lake Waccamaw and Eastern Columbus. Through GFL’s Full Circle Project (FCP), we reinvest in local organizations that provide vital therapy, youth advocacy, and creative education. We believe that active community partnership is the best way to keep Columbus County thriving.
GFL has directed a major $10,000 donation earmarked for the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) fundraiser hosted by the Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina (BGHNC). Celebrating 70 years of operation in 2024, BGHNC provides a comprehensive array of residential and community services—including adoption, family foster care, therapeutic foster care, and free children’s therapy—to help vulnerable, at-risk children heal from distress. To further support BGHNC’s mission, a team of 4 to 6 local GFL volunteers will hands-on assist in renovating the on-campus stables, which shelter the therapy horses used directly as healing tools for distressed youth.
GFL is proud to support regional culture with a $1,500 FCP contribution to the Dirt Road Experience Performing Arts Center Inc. Currently meeting in a local restaurant, this non-profit group is working to purchase a historic firehouse from the Town of Brunswick for $100,000 and requires $50,000 for renovations to create a permanent community performing arts center. Their programs make the performing arts accessible in our rural area by helping individuals from low-income homes purchase and learn to play musical instruments, while providing a platform for local singers to share their voices. Additionally, 2 to 3 GFL volunteers will actively assist at upcoming musical events hosted by this charity.
