Apartment and highrise compactors are hand-feed operators, chute systems, or through-the-wall installations that allow for easy disposal of waste on multiple floor levels. Every compactor is designed to be conveniently loaded by residents and tenants without the need for special training. These compactors are primarily designed to take dry waste and low waste volumes, usually around 150 cubic yards or less.

Stars for Life

The Stars for Life Foundation is committed to creating a quality of life for young people with autism spectrum disorder, fully included in their community; with a commitment to continued education, life and job skills training and inclusion.

As an organization built and supported by the community, GFL was pleased to be able to support their cause through a donation of $5,000, to help operate and expand the first Resource Centre and home for young people with autism spectrum disorders. Our dedicated team were also pleased to assist with the organization of the Evening of the Stars Gala event.

Soup Kitchen Food Bank – Upper Room Hospitality Ministry

With food insecurity becoming a growing concern, GFL was pleased to support the Upper Room, a food bank located in Charlottetown, PEI. Offering meals to individuals in need of food security, the Upper Room has supported many across the island, from newcomers to the local population. GFL donated $5,000 to the Upper Room, and has also had 15 local staff members volunteer their time to the food bank throughout the year, lending a helping hand across Christmas and also filling food hampers to deliver to families in need.
