The McCauley Community Orchard in Edmonton, Alberta, has been revitalized with the support of GFL’s Full Circle Project (FCP), giving the space a fresh new beginning.
GFL’s Edmonton team partnered with Sustainable Food Edmonton to restore this vital community garden, a space where neighbors can gather, grow their own food and reconnect with nature.
“We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Sustainable Food Edmonton,” said GFL Integration Manager Derek Peacock. “Community garden projects like this one create spaces where residents can connect, strengthen neighborhood ties, and grow environmental awareness. Our team was proud to support this initiative by helping clean the park and install new garden boxes.”
Sustainable Food Edmonton is a charity dedicated to building community through urban agriculture, supporting projects and programs that promote sustainability and social connection.
GFL’s $5,000 donation helped fund crucial repairs to the garden, including replacing plant beds. This effort laid the foundation for a garden that can flourish for years to come and support a more sustainable and connected community.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this project!
