Brookfield Trash Collection Services

GFL is proud to service the residents of Brookfield and meet your trash and recycling needs. More information on our services in your community is listed below.

Residential Trash Collection

• Place trash cans outside no later than 6:00AM on day of collection.
• All trash must be completely containerized/bagged under 50 pounds.
• If trash is not out on time, return service fee is $25.

Recycling Collection

• Place recycling bins outside no later than 6:00AM on day of collection.
• GFL supplies one 32-gallon recycling can & lid.
• If recycling is not out on time, return service fee is $25.

Accepted Recycling Materials:

• Paper products
• All paper/fiber products (junk mail, newspaper, magazines, phone books)
• Clean and empty beverage cartons
• Plastic containers
• Metal containers
• Aluminum containers
• Steel and tin cans

Items NOT accepted

• Plastic bags
• Glass products (drinking glasses, mirrored glass)
• Plastic items as big/ or larger than laundry basket
• Pizza boxes

Yard Waste Collection

• Yard waste is a subscription service.
• 2026 yard waste collection dates are: April 18th, May 2nd, May 16th, June 13th, June 27th, August 15th, September 19th, October 10th, October 24th, November 7th, and November 21st.
• You must purchase a minimum of 10 stickers at the price of $3.47/ea. ($34.70/pack).
• Stickers must be used in the year of purchase with no carryovers.
• All yard waste MUST be in paper bags.
• Each paper bag must weigh less than 50 pounds and have a sticker.

Bulk Item Collection

• Prepayment of $45 for up to two items per collection, after the first two items each bulky item will be $45 for the collection. The items will be scheduled on resident’s regular trash pickup day.
• All items MUST be placed at end of driveway, or they will not be collected.
• Appliances or items not qualified as “bulky items” can be collected for an additional fee.
