Village of Lannon Trash Services

GFL is proud to service the residents of Lannon and meet your trash and recycling needs. More information on our services in your community is listed below.

Residential Trash collection

• Place cart curbside NO later than 6:00 AM on collection day.
• Place the GFL trash cart within one foot of the curb, with the arrow facing the street.
• Place trash and recycling cart at least two (2) feet from one another, as well as from objects like mailboxes and parked vehicles.
• The Village of Lannon provides one 96-gallon cart for trash. Additional trash carts may be purchased for an additional annual fee.
• Extra trash/bags outside the cart will NOT be collected.
• Trash/recycling carts not out at time of service, return service fee is $25.

Recycling Collection

• Place cart curbside by 6:00 AM every other collection week. (see calendar)
• The Village of Lannon provides one 96-gallon cart for recycling. Additional recycling carts may be purchased for an additional annual fee.
• Place the GFL recycling cart within one foot of the curb, with the arrow facing the street. Place trash and recycling carts at least two (2) feet from one another, as well as from objects like mailboxes and parked vehicles.
• All items must be placed inside the cart. Extras outside of the cart will NOT be collected.
• Trash/recycling carts not out at time of service, return service fee is $25.

Accepted Recycling Materials:

• Paper products
• All paper/fiber products (junk mail, newspaper, magazines, phone books)
• Clean and empty beverage cartons
• Plastic containers
• Metal containers
• Aluminum containers
• Steel and tin cans

 Items NOT collected for Recycling

• Plastic bags
• Scrap metal or car parts
• Styrofoam
• Glass (drinking, mirror, window)
• Packing materials
• Pizza boxes

Yard Waste Collection

• Yard waste is included and picked up 6 months out of the year.
• No more than 10 paper bags per collection.
• 2023 yard waste collection dates are: April 6, May 4, June 8, October 5, November 2, November 30.
• No scheduling required. Residents need to have yard waste curbside 6:00 AM.

Bulk Item Collection

• Bi-Monthly roadside bulk item collection is provided to the Village of Lannon residents for 6 months out of the year: 1 pickup per said month, 6 pickups total per year.
• The item does need to be called in and scheduled free of charge in advance.
• Tires and appliances are accepted.
• 2023 bulk item collection dates are: January 26, March 30, May 25, September 28, December 21.
• Residents need to have bulk items curbside by 6:00 AM.
