GFL is proud to service the residents of Oconomowoc Lake and meet your trash and recycling needs. More information on our services in your community is listed below.

Residential Trash Collections

• Place trash cans outside on a drivable part of the driveway with clear access, no later than 6:00AM on day of collection.
• All trash must be completely containerized/bagged under 50 pounds.
• If trash is not out on time or blocked, return service fee is $25.

Recycling Collection

• Place recycling bins outside no later than 6:00AM on a drivable part of the driveway with clear access day of collection.
• The Village of Oconomowoc Lake provides one 18-gallon recycling bin.
• If recycling is not out on time or blocked, return service fee is $25.

Accepted Recycling Materials:

• Paper products
• All paper/fiber products (junk mail, newspaper, magazines, phone books)
• Clean and empty beverage cartons
• Plastic containers
• Metal containers
• Aluminum containers
• Steel and tin cans

Items NOT accepted

• Plastic bags
• Glass products (drinking glasses, mirrored glass)
• Plastic items as big/ or larger than laundry basket
• Pizza boxes

Yard Waste Collection

Yard waste pick up is NOT included.

Bulk Item Collection

• Residents are allowed one free bulk item per week.
• ALL bulk items must be called in and scheduled in advance.
• The item will be scheduled on residents’ regular trash pickup day.
• Bulk item pickup can be placed next to trash and recycle.
• Appliances or items not qualified as “bulky items” can be collected for an additional fee.

Christmas Tree Collection Program

• Trees must be called in to be scheduled and paid for before collection, no refunds.
• Call in before 1/15/24 to schedule for pick up for the week of 1/15/24, for $50/Tree.
• Call in before 2/5/24 to schedule for pick up for the week of 2/5/24, for $65/Tree.
• Trees will need to be out at the curb for collection.
• Trees cannot be bagged, and they need to be stripped of ornaments and lights.
• Trees need to be cut down to 5 feet or under and dug out of the snow if we have any.
