ROYAL OAK, MI, January 17, 2020 – GFL Environmental is partnering with Henry Ford College (HFC) to bring a pilot recycling program to the institution as part of its ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship.
Beginning in the Winter 2020 semester, the college will have access to a number of paper and plastic recycling bins on the main campus that will encourage the HFC community to actively engage in recycling efforts. These recycling ‘stations’ will accept any kind of paper and any kind of plastic with a recycling logo or number on it. Clear signage will help users to identify appropriate waste for the bins and avoid any cross-contamination.
HFC is committed to making sure the on-campus program is environmentally responsible and will continue to work with the GFL to ensure that materials are properly processed.
