Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation

GFL is proud to support the Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation (TRCA), an organization that protects the Toronto region’s natural treasures, preserves cultural heritage and empowers healthy communities through meaningful conservation campaigns and sustainable projects. GFL was pleased to donate $4,300 to the charity to promote its programs. From GFL’s Vaughan office, 20 employees volunteered their time to assist with planting trees and shrubs at a local park.

The Toronto Humane Society

The Toronto Humane Society is an animal shelter that also acts as an educational resource and support system, providing a voice to animal welfare. GFL was pleased to donate $2,500 to support the charitable organization in the work they do. From the local office, 12 GFL employees also volunteered in a two hour event to make pet enrichment toys, bag food for the Pet Food Bank, and assist with a Community Day event.

Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

GFL is pleased to support Habitat for Humanity, an organization that assists Canadian families who would otherwise not be able to afford home ownership by building homes and providing affordable mortgages geared to their income. With a donation of $5,000 to Habitat GTA, GFL also had 10 volunteers assist at the ReStore Distribution Center, where they worked together to help sort, prep, price, or package donated products to be sold at Habitat ReStores across the GTA and online.
