We’re delighted to let you know that Great American Environmental Services, Inc. (GAES) became a subsidiary of GFL Environmental USA, Inc. on October 1, 2021.

GFL is the fourth largest diversified environmental services company in North America, providing a comprehensive line of non-hazardous solid waste management, infrastructure and soil remediation, and liquid waste management services through its platform of facilities throughout Canada and in more than half of the U.S. states, and is ideally situated to continue to meet the high service standards you have come to expect from GAES and Wood Island Waste Management, Inc. (WIW).

What you can expect going forward:

• You’ll be serviced by the same team – all the employees that you are used to seeing on your route are staying on, as well as the local office employees you are used to working with.
• You may see changes to your service day or time, and we commit to letting you know before we make any of these changes.
• We will continue to operate under the corporate names Great American Environmental Services, Inc. and Wood Island Waste Management, Inc. Over time, GAES and WIW will be ‘Going Green,’ so you’ll notice our look start to change over time. Our trucks will get the GFL logo and signature green paint, our employees will get new uniforms, and your invoices will be GFL branded.
