Plastic Ocean Project is committed to finding science-based solutions to the plastic pollution crisis, with a mission to inspire informed choices that improve both human and environmental health. One of their standout initiatives, Trees for Trash, donates one tree for every 25 pounds of garbage collected — promoting both litter removal and long-term conservation through tree planting. Through the Full Circle Project and our Nature Conservation charity class, GFL has donated $5,000 to support Plastic Ocean Project’s sustainability programming and ongoing cleanup events.
Friends of the Battleship North Carolina supports the preservation, education, and visitor experience of this historic site. A signature fundraising event for the organization is the Parkway Subaru Battleship NC Half Marathon, one of the South’s longest-running races since it began in 1998. Several GFL team members joined the run to show their support. GFL contributed $2,500 to help further the Battleship’s preservation and educational initiatives through the Full Circle Project’s Nature Conservation charity class.
Welcome Home Angel supports children in the Wilmington region, ages 4 to 21, who are living with chronic or physically debilitating conditions. The organization transforms their bedrooms and home spaces — creating safe, cheerful, and accessible environments that support healing and quality of life. From sensory and therapy rooms to fully wheelchair-accessible spaces, their custom renovations improve care, comfort, and health for both children and their families. Through our Family Wellness charity class, the Full Circle Project donated $2,500 to help fund their services and raise awareness for the essential work they do.
