GFL Wins 2017 WorkSafe Saskatchewan Safe Employer Award

SASKATOON, March 20, 2017 — The 2017 WorkSafe Saskatchewan Safe Employer Award was presented to GFL Environmental Inc. operations in Saskatchewan (formerly Envirotec Services Incorporated) at an awards luncheon on Monday, March 20.

GFL was recognized for exceeding federal and provincial safety requirements, developing and sharing a nationally-recognized HAZMAT Tactical Workbook and for promoting safety via live daily safety broadcasts and an employee safety app.  National Director of EH&S Liquid Brian Hillier accepted the award on behalf of GFL and expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the company’s rich health and safety programs.

Finalists for the award included Mosaic Potash Belle Plaine and the R.M. of Wilton.

WorkSafe Saskatchewan is a partnership between the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board and the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety.
