40 years in the waste industry: Lloyd Kenny

GFL would like to extend huge congratulations to employee Lloyd Kenny of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, on 40 years of service in the waste industry.

Lloyd jokes that he got a job and got married in the same year, but 40 years on, he hasn’t looked back. He has four successful sons, two of whom also work for GFL today.

Lloyd began his career in waste as a driver, working his way up to General Manager of GFL’s solid waste division in New Glasgow.

Over the past 40 years, Lloyd has ‘seen it all’, building a wealth of experience in the waste industry. As someone who knows the business inside out, he’s a tremendous resource to GFL and someone the company continues to rely on for advice, guidance and expertise.

In addition to his commendable commitment to GFL, Lloyd has an impressive record of serving his community having volunteered as a fire fighter, department fire chief, and auxiliary RCMP officer.

Thank you Lloyd for your dedication and hard work!
