Service area

Residential general service boundary is south of Hwy 290.

*Exception for HCMUD 434 residents who are serviced by our Houston North site. North of Hwy 290 see our Houston North holiday schedule.

Holiday Schedules

Office and call center staff observe the following holidays:

  • Memorial Day – Closed
  • Independence Day – Closed
  • Labor Day – Closed
  • Thanksgiving Day – Closed
  • Christmas Day – Closed
  • New Year’s Day – Closed

Operations (trash pick-up) service details are posted below should a collection day fall on a holiday:

Memorial Day

Residential: No change, normal service will be provided.

Commercial: No change, normal service will be provided.

Independence Day

Residential: No change, normal service will be provided.

Commercial: No change, normal service will be provided.

Labor Day

Residential: No change, normal service will be provided.

Commercial: No change, normal service will be provided.

Thanksgiving Day

Residential: No services provided.

  • Trash will be collected on your next regularly scheduled service day except for customers listed below:
    • City of Missouri City will have regular collection service.
    • City of Richmond will have their Thursday service collected on Friday, and regularly scheduled Friday service collected on Saturday.
    • Customers within the city limits will be serviced the following day, and service for subsequent days in the same week will also be completed one day later.

Commercial: No services provided.

  • Any location that has once a week service that falls on Thursday will be serviced either on Wednesday or Friday.
  • Any restaurant that has Monday/Thursday service days will get their pickup on Wednesday or Friday to fulfill their twice a week pick-up.
  • Any locations that are serviced more than once a week will be serviced on their next service day.
  • Please be mindful that if your location(s) will be closed for the holiday and we do not have access, service will resume on the next scheduled service day.

Christmas Day

Residential: No services provided.

  • Trash service will be collected on your next regularly scheduled service day except for customers listed below:
    • City of Missouri City will have regular collection service.
    • South Briar will have regular collection service.
    • City of Needville will have regular collection if it falls on a Wednesday.
    • Customers within the city limits will be serviced the following day, and service for subsequent days in the same week will also be completed one day later.

Commercial: No services provided.

  • If a location is scheduled for pick up once a week and it falls on the holiday, that location will be serviced on the day before or after.
  • Overall, we will run a day behind on service, with all accounts caught up by Saturday.
  • Please be mindful that if your location(s) will be closed for the holiday and we do not have access, service will resume on the next scheduled service day.

New Year ’s Day

Residential: No services provided.

  • Trash service will be collected on your next regularly scheduled service day except for customers listed below:
    • City of Missouri City will have regular collection service.
    • South Briar will have regular collection service.
    • Customers within the city limits will be serviced the following day, and service for subsequent days in the same week will also be completed one day later.

Commercial: No services provided.

  • If a location is scheduled for pick up once a week and it falls on the holiday, that location will be serviced on the day before or after.

Additional Holiday Service Week Information:

  • Service times will likely be later than usual with the additional holiday volume and wait times at our landfills. If we are not able to complete our make-up service due to these factors, service will continue the next day.
  • Recycle and bulk waste could be discontinued during the holiday service week and will resume as normal on the next scheduled service day.
    • If your recycle day falls on the holiday, recycle service will resume on you next scheduled service day. If you have more than what will fit in your recycle container, please put the extra recycling in clear or white bags and/or boxes.
