GFL Infrastructure Group provides demolition and hazardous materials abatement services through our demolition division — formerly ProGreen Demolition.
With decades of experience working on various types of facilities throughout the industrial, commercial and institutional sectors, we operate a full range of customized equipment to meet the unique challenges faced in our industry.
We also collaborate with our clients to promote a sustainable future by implementing methods that maximize available LEED points in areas of waste management and disposal, erosion and sedimentation control.
GFL’s complete demolition and deconstruction services are tailored to fit the precise — and often unique — needs of the project. We create site-specific plans for our clients by selecting from demolition methods such as the utilization of large custom-built equipment, smaller robotic equipment for confined spaces, implosion or other techniques specially developed to meet the detailed requirements of your project.
To ensure value and environmental responsibility, GFL’s experienced personnel coordinate the extraction of all recoverable materials from a project site.
Known as Investment Recovery, this important process can offset client project costs while reducing the environmental impact of demolition by selling recovered materials such as metals, equipment, tanks and other items.
DEMOLITION & LEED
Many developers design projects to obtain LEED Certification upon completion. Although most LEED points are related to the design and construction of a facility, the GFL Demolition Division can assist clients by maximizing available points in key areas such as waste management and disposal, erosion and sedimentation control.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ABATEMENT
Prior to demolition services, many facilities require environmental abatement which can include the removal of asbestos, vermiculite, PCBs, mould or various other contaminated materials.
GFL is highly experienced in the abatement process and the various stages required to ensure the safe removal and disposal of toxic materials. Our abatement team has safely completed hundreds of abatement projects in residential, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings — both vacant and occupied.
Every demolition project requires a specialized approach. At GFL, we stay safe, efficient and ahead of our competition by identifying the challenges unique to your project and by pairing each of those challenges to the right machine.
GFL’s extensive company-owned fleet of trucks, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and dump trucks are always available for a full range of on-site customer projects. The largest excavator in our fleet is our high-reach excavator boasting a reach of 167 feet and able to safely reach extremely high and awkward areas. Our smaller fleet units are able to safely enter areas with restricted access and we have even customized several pieces of equipment in order to meet a variety of specific challenges. We also professionally maintain all equipment from our expansive fleet to help keep our projects safe, on schedule and on budget.
No matter what the size of your project may be, Green For Life’s experienced team of demolition specialists and our broad range of specialized equipment can help safely perform and complete your site-specific requirements.
At GFL, we proudly utilize the most advanced technology available to the demolition industry — robotics. Our robotics equipment excels at safely getting into tight spots such as problematic, extreme or confined spaces.
During complex demolition projects, GFL’s robotic demolition units are often a more safe and economical alternative to employing larger equipment or hand demolition. Compact in size and operated by remote control, these units are able to reach areas within a facility that are not accessible by larger equipment. They are also able to access spaces posing an environmental hazard or locations where conventional demolition methods are impractical. Harnessing the power of robotic equipment can also increase project safety and reduce the time required to complete complex work.
